I moved to Overland Park from Indiana in late summer 2007 to begin teaching 4th grade at a local school. I'm loving my new life out here so far. The Kansas City area is great and I'm living with family which has been nice. The biggest downside is I really miss my friends from school and am hoping to make friends (and potentially live) with one or more people my age. My former roommates will tell you I'm great to live with. I like things clean but have no problem with things getting messy once in a while we all have lives! My only pets are two little hermit crabs for the moment, though I'd love to get a small (non-shedding) dog sometime in the future. I'm pretty busy during the week but never really mind hosting parties, etc. It would also be great to find someone to maybe help me get to know the area better. Because I'm in my first year of teaching, I don't know that I will be able to move until the summer.
