I substitute teach in the Houston Independent School District, and I am seeking alternative certification as a Spanish teacher. I will be working at BPS in Jackson Square, if I can get a room in the City. I worked there before for about a year. I lived and worked in the City from late 1996 - early 1999. I am intimately familiar with the City, at least as it was back then. I need to beat the heat of these Gulf Coast summers, if possible. First choices would be Potrero Hill, Bernal Heights, Telegraph Hill, Laurel Heights, Marina, Noe Valley, or the AVENUES, but anywhere is O.K. I don't smoke, I'm fairly quiet. I would be staying in town from late-May/early-June thru early-August/mid-October, depending on whether I get a teaching contract back here in Texas. I plan to spend at least part of my summers in the City even after I get a teaching contract. |
